The following Ed Specs are an update to OUSD's 2017 Ed Specs to provide equity and access for all students by connecting OUSD's vision for pedagogy to physical space to support it.

The Ed Specs serve to illustrate concepts that will inform the master plans based on OUSD's aspirations to the audience of future architects who will implement them as well as for OUSD stakeholders to understand the reasoning behind modernizations. The reference images are intended to illustrate concepts, not to be interpreted as exactly how a space will look. A key driver for the Ed Specs is to give students equal opportunities for learning by creating flexible learning environments that can accommodate individual learning differences.
